I was first exposed to pornography at 10 years old.
For years after that, I fought the same way every other guy fights: white-knuckling it, deleting apps, making promises to God I couldn't keep. Every time I fell, the shame got heavier. Every time I tried harder, the cycle got shorter.
It wasn't until a Sunday night in college, I alone with God, completely broken and that was when something actually shifted. Not because I tried harder. Because for the first time, I stopped treating the symptom and started asking why the root was there in the first place.
That question changed everything.
I wrote Refined at the Root of Lust because I spent years looking for a resource that went that deep and couldn't find one. Every book I picked up gave me accountability tips and scripture verses (which are not bad), but nobody was willing to go after the wound underneath the addiction.
If you're tired of fighting the same battle with the same broken weapons, this is where that ends.
Overcame a pornography struggle that started at age 10 — not through willpower or accountability apps, but by identifying and healing the root wound driving it

Staying in the lust cycle... getting the urge, acting out (watching porn & masturbation) , shame & guilt, the promise ("This is the last time") , repeat.
Keep going down the path of what hasn't worked... trying more willpower, praying more, reading Bible more, blocker apps & browsers, fasting, etc. These things aren't bad, but doing these things alone don't lead to freedom.

The problem was never your willpower. It was always the root

If this book doesn't give you a clearer understanding of why you've been stuck and what to do about it, you pay nothing.
